It sure is the year for babies, weddings are so last year for all our friends!
This is a friend from school with her new addition Riley Wayde who is about 8 weeks now.
Lynell lives in Townsville but hopefully will be back down this way soon and im sure Riley will be a great play buddy for our little one
Adam's cousin in QLD sent us some recent pics of her little one Aaliyah.
This is her 'Tigga' impersonation

Look at this nifty thing I found to buy (killing time on ebay) whilst i've been waiting for our now over-due bub to arrive. It's called a milk band, you wear it on your wrist to keep track of when you last fed, from which side and for how long! Pretty clever what they come up with now days, there is a gadget for just about everything.

Adam's soccer boots for this season (once again he choose the most expensive pair they make). Nike Mecurial Vapours, as worn by his favourite soccer player. He plays in orange so he HAD to have these boots!

A friendly reminder that anyone (the culprit being ric this time) can take photos off your blog and make edits to them as they please..... This lovely piece of art was turned into a fridge magnet

Two more nursery photos as requested by the curtain maker Aunty Chele
(so she could see how they look)

Yet to be completed but a bit of an idea as to how much it has opened the place up

Dad in action - taking out our wall between the lounge room and dining room...
TO BE CONTINUED (LITERALLY)

A VERY interesting combination - King Gee shorts with 'Calvin Klein Classic' undies!

We seem to have a little bit of a problem here....

This off-cut of completely different timber should do the job nicely - just for now

My brother competed in the Caves Beach Swim on Sunday. Weather and seas were quite nasty but everyone finished. Being able to body surf was a huge advantage for some. Mike admitted preparing to surf in on a huge wave then at the last minute ducked under (he wasn't the only one doing that!)

Mike crosses the line in his first Caves Beach Ocean Swim. He was also the only one to cross the line in boardshorts and a rash shirt with large holes in it. Next year we might all chip in for a pair of dick stickers.

Mike and I are trying to convince dad to attempt the swim next year in the 'back of the pack' category (this category allows for snorkels, fins and flotation devices)

Despite me worrying about him the whole time he looked as though he could have almost done it all over again.

32 minutes and 42 seconds! Pretty good considering dad and I were puffing walking up the stair back to the car.
Our first wedding anniversary (already! Feb 3rd, 2008). My request: have Adam cook me pancakes, my favourite! He takes the whole shaking thing very seriouslly as you can tell by the look on his face.

The finished product! A mountain of pancakes, ice-cream and chocolate topping (maple syrup for me)
